About the Author
G�rard ‘Jabby' Crombac was a close friend of Colin Chapman throughout his life, having bought one of the earliest Lotus Mark VI sports cars in 1953. In 1954 he founded the Paris-based magazine Sport Auto and eventually sold it in the late 1970s, having been its editor throughout. He remained an active Formula 1 journalist until 2003 and died in 2005.

Colin Chapman, this book is a great read

Excellent account of the life of Colin Chapman and the Chapman days of Lotus. I couldn't put this book down once I started treading it. Highly recommended for all Lotus fans. I recently personally visited many of the locations mentioned in the book, very nostalgic.

I first read this book ten years ago. Buying it now I intend to enjoy it all over again. If you are at all interested in cars and have ever lifted a wrench in an attempt to wreak your own improvements, then you will appreciate this life story. The forword by Enzo Ferrari is the only reccomendation that you need.
